Belmont Schools Open 2026-27 Enrollment for Year of Longer Days, New Contracts
No new announcements arrived from Belmont's town departments in Thursday's cycle, leaving Belmont Public Schools' open registration for the 2026-27 school year as the most actionable item for residents across all sources today.
SCHOOLS
Enrollment for the 2026-27 school year is now open across all grade bands — preschool, kindergarten, and grades K-12 — per the Belmont Public Schools district homepage. Families can access registration at belmont.k12.ma.us. The coming year will look different from recent ones: the district announced earlier this month that the student day will be extended by 15 minutes at all schools, a change that followed the School Committee's ratification of new contracts with the Belmont Education Association after more than 19 months of negotiations, collaboration, and mediation.
